1st Day of School Letter
Hello parents and students!

Welcome parents and guardians to a new school year that will bring many adventures and endless fun for your student. This is your second home. You are now part of my family. As we adjust to the classroom culture, I invite you to join us at any time to experience our active productivity. Safety is a priority for me; hence, there are a few class rules to produce a healthy and safeguarded class environment. It is sad to see your student leave your side every school year, but I promise that they are in elite hands.

Every morning when my students walk into the classroom they will be expected to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. We pledge to care for one another and help each other through the most difficult tasks. We all have our good and hard days, but I am here to support every one of our students to succeed in their own right. Our instruction time will be used to the fullest. I want for students to enjoy the activities, engage with their peers, and explore the wonders of education. The students have tremendous potential that they will develop socially, emotionally, and academically to become resilient. My goal for your students is that they design an identity that they are proud to share with the world.
Our course content is rigorous, but manageable. Your students will work diligently to become avid learners on their path to becoming conscientious leaders of society. Although I am a firm believer in no homework, if your student is unable to complete their coursework throughout the day, they will have the option to complete it at home. I ask that you provide encouragement to your students so that they feel supported through the easiest and challenging assignment. To enhance their academia, I recommend that you enjoy literature of your choice with your student for at least thirty minutes a day. They are the readers that will rewrite the injustices of social pressure.
As your students’ teacher, I would like to know how to best serve their needs. If your student has allergens, medical conditions, individualized education programs, in need of school supplies, or any special instructions that can help me better understand them, please advise me at your earliest convenience. I will uphold the greatest care for your student. Let us begin the bridge of trust, settle into your new classroom, and guide our students to success.
To my students: I cannot wait to meet you and all of your unique personalities. You might like my class so much that you will never want to leave. I have so many activities, projects, and prizes to give out!
I am always pleased to answer your comments, questions, and concerns. Email, ParentSquare, and by phone call are the best ways to contact me.
