Seating Arrangement

The classroom is a shared space for students and teacher to coexist. This layout ensures that the students have equitable access to materials and resources. The teacher has accessibility to move between zones of proximity and students have free range to work in partners, groups, huddles, or as individuals. Throughout the day, students will engage in various pairings for activities thus maintaining clear spaces is crucial.  This seating arrangement encourages autonomy in students for they will have a place to set their belonging upon arrival in exchange for materials that they will be using, a self-service counter replenishes their tools, as well as centers created to promote a healthy and productive classroom environment. This has been designed as the optimal choice, but is subject to change on the conditions of learning and efficacy. The purpose of these arrangements are to prepare and reinforce the skills students should master to set forth their success in society.

If any needs are identified, accommodations can be made.
